    Crucial
    NED Questions

In order to be successful Supervisory Board members, we need to ask the right questions at the proper time of the growth cycle. Drilling management with a barrage of topics will impede the growth of company, and it happens often from good intentions. Understanding, from experience, where and when to probe is the key to successful supervisory board roles.
Then when you are on-point, it’s important to challenge the status quo and always have an outside-in approach. Supported by facts and data. Without data, it's just an opinion.

    Strategy

Is the BHAG clearly defined and known to the organisation? What are the differentiators of the product to the competition? What is the frequency and governance frameworks are currently setup around the Strategy Process?

    People

Is the performance management system clear, effective and linked to company ROCKS? What HR process are in place and being reported to the board in order to create a winning workplace?

    Execution

Does the organisation prioritise “getting it done” over “planning and preparation”? Does the supervisory board process impede management execution? How is execution measured?

    Performance

Does management achieve the financial results they promise on a regular monthly and quarterly basis? Is the reporting process streamlined and effective? Usable and lightweight?

    Culture

What governance tools and measures are in place to assure a safe and open working environment?

    Board Performance

Is the board measured on their performance? Do the members do the homework, understand the intricacies of the business and management?
